Stages of our work — Why are our paving procedures ideal?

At Advanced Concrete Paving, our objective is to perform at a level that is superior to that which our clients anticipate from us. Knowledge, careful preparation, clear and effective communication, and skilled execution of a task are the four pillars that support a foundation of delighted consumers. When it comes to properly satisfy a customer or client, commitment and effort are two vital ingredients. It is vital for us to adhere to a complete procedure that we have established and honed over the course of more than a decade in order to achieve our objective of becoming the most widely regarded paver installer in the Bay Area. This is the only way that we will be able to reach our goal.

Stage 1: Planning Stage

When it comes to creating an unforgettable experience of outdoor living, the step that takes place before the first shovel is even used to turn the dirt is the most significant. Our team has the experience to assist you in making the most of your project, regardless of whether you have been toiling away at your vision board for quite some time or have only just started to ponder the various options.

Acquire an Awareness of Your Destiny

Our crew has been educated to assist you in turning your vision into a reality by assisting you in selecting the items and materials that have the appropriate combination of colors, styles, sizes, and patterns for your house, your family, and the way you live your life. We are able to assist you with the planning of the ideal water features, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, or bench seats to complement your landscape and turn your yard into your own personal haven.

Engineering Methodology

Pavers used in engineering can be set down in a relatively short amount of time. It is more difficult to execute it correctly so that you can conform to the regional construction laws and provide a warranty that lasts a lifetime. However, if you are able to do so, you can offer the customer peace of mind by offering a lifetime warranty. In order to produce an installation that will last for an entire lifetime, it is vital to give consideration to aspects that will not be visible to viewers.

The primary goal of our site evaluation is to collect the necessary information in order to make certain that the engineering and mechanical components are precise. The first thing that needs to be done in order to get started with this procedure is to look over the local building standards for encroachment permits, setback restrictions, and material limits. In addition to this, we investigate the current configuration of water supplies, irrigation, lighting, electrical outlets, and natural gas, as well as the configuration that is planned for the future.

When it comes to planning a project including hardscaping, drainage is the most important consideration to take into mind. Inadequate drainage can result in a wide variety of problems, such as the deterioration of plants and fences, as well as the flooding of patios and the sinking of foundations. These problems can be avoided by installing proper drainage. Paver systems that have been incorrectly implemented can hide problems that already exist while also causing new problems to emerge. In order to devise a drainage strategy that will direct water away from your home without causing a disturbance for your neighbors, our team first conducts a comprehensive examination of the land in order to identify any problems that may already be present and then takes accurate elevation readings.

The process of design formation

Every successful project starts with an excellent design, one that combines the homeowner’s vision for the ideal outdoor living space with the selection of materials, hues, and details that are complementary to the existing architecture of the property. This is the first step in ensuring that the project will be a success. After the completion of your site visit, our staff will begin working to develop a collection of plan choices that are adapted to your tastes as well as the limits of your budget.

The next step that the customer must complete in the process is to visit one of our showrooms. They must do this in order to proceed. Each manufacturer of pavers offers a variety of various styles, colors, and finishes for their goods. These elements may all be used to give your home a more unique appearance and can be combined in a variety of ways.

Walking around on a variety of materials and observing the rich combination of various styles, colors, and patterns cannot be replicated by any other method. Walking around on a variety of materials is the only thing that can replace seeing materials on sample boards and using renderings to get an idea of what a design might look like, but sample boards are fine for seeing materials and renderings are a great tool for envisioning what a design could look like. The purpose of our showrooms is to provide you with the opportunity to view the many options that are available to you and to receive assistance in making the most appropriate choice.

The Agreement

After you have made your decisions regarding the layout, materials, color, style, accessories, mechanicals, the accessories, and features, we will combine all of these aspects into a single plan that defines everything, including the price. After that, we get a consensus on the matter, and after that, the project can be added to the schedule for discussion.

Stage 2: The Pre-construction Stage

Atlas will be responsible for determining when the construction process may officially commence. As soon as the permits and materials have been ordered, the office will give you a warm greeting call to let you know that everything is all set. During this call, we will walk you through the schedule and give you the contact information for both your project manager and our owner. In addition, we will answer any questions that you may have.

One week before the beginning of the project, we are going to contact the appropriate authority in order to gain clearance for the site’s utilities, and we are also going to initiate a group chat in which you, the Construction Manager, the designer, our General Manager, and the CEO will all participate. These steps will be taken in order to prepare for the launch of the project. During the time that we are working on your project, our entire staff here at Advanced Concrete Paving needs to be made aware as quickly as possible of any concerns that you may have. That is why we have decided to have this talk.

Stage 3: The Beginning of Construction

The Big Day has arrived, your task is ready to begin, and the first payment in progress is what we will collect to get things going. The Big Day has arrived, and your job is ready to begin. The experienced designer and crew foreman will go over the job with you before we begin the demolition stage of the project. This will ensure that everyone is on the same page before we begin pulling things down.

We will constantly strive to create a working environment that is as smooth, professional, and polite as is humanly possible so that the project we are working on will be a success. Creating open lines of communication with one’s neighbors is an efficient method for reducing the risk of conflict occurring between the parties.

Get in Position to Launch

After what seems like an eternity, your project has finally arrived at the stage where it can be initiated. We are able to immediately initiate the process of getting your site prepared for the installation of your new pavers when you give us the go-ahead.

To ensure that we are following the rules established by the ICPI, we clean the work area of any existing hardscape, asphalt, concrete, plants, and any other impediments. After removing dirt to a depth of 6 inches for the patio, walkways, and other areas, we meticulously grade the surface before going on to the driveways. For the driveways, we remove dirt to a depth of 9.1/2 inches.

The most exciting portion is about to begin! The quality of our work is being evaluated at this location, and at this period, we are making certain that everything is developing as we had intended. Clay may be found in your soil, right? silt? sandy? rocky? sandstone? The results of this soil assessment will determine the depth of the base layer, and it is possible that the drainage plan that we have designed will require some modifications as a result.

After identifying the type of soil and responding to any questions that may have been raised, we will conduct a level check to guarantee that all of the drainage systems will operate correctly with the appropriate quantity of pitch.

Utilizing Base Rock Will Assist You in Producing a Robust Structure

Following the installation of geotextile fabric, a vibrating plate soil compactor will be utilized to pack down Class 2 recycled road base to a depth of four inches for roadways and six inches for driveways. Following the completion of the compaction test, the subsequent stage is to add #8 quarters of sand in an amount that varies from one half of an inch to three quarters of an inch. I am pleased to let you know that the time has come to start laying the pavers at your location, and I am looking forward to getting started.

Stage 4: Installation of the Pavers

The components are transported to the location where they will be installed for assembly. A new group of workers has just arrived, and they will be the ones to lay the pavers. The check-in is performed by your project manager, and they get the second payment for the Progress Payment.

The crew from Advanced Concrete Paving starts by squarely offsetting areas of the site and marking starting places with chalk lines. This is done in an effort to decrease the number of cuts that need to be made later on in the process. They disperse sample parts around the entire website so that you may walk through it and discuss the design pattern, materials, colors, and style that you have chosen. You tell us you are happy! After that, we will be able to start the process of installing things manually in the areas that have been mapped out. After the majority of the pavers have been laid, we will demarcate the remaining cuts and curved areas, and then we will walk over them with you. After that, we will finish laying the remaining pavers. After you have provided your approval, we will next make the final cuts, which will be accompanied by a great deal of noise and dust.

Until We Make It Formal

The work will be completed in a short amount of time! The pavers are really attractive in terms of their physical appeal. Your neighbors are exhibiting a great deal of envious behavior (and relieved). It’s amazing to look at! And this is BEFORE we even begin picking up the pieces! The time has come for another walkthrough of the assignment with you, and while we are doing so, we will make a note of any things that are still on the punch list. After that, we clean up our work area by removing any excess materials and taking away any unused or extra materials (such as pavers, cement, sand, rock, tools, debris, etc.). After that, we take away any unused or extra materials.

Fasten a Lock on It

After making sure that the cuts, curves, and other details are to your satisfaction, we will then build a concrete footing or bond beam around the job’s perimeter in order to secure the paver field. This will allow the paver field to be used as intended. After that, we place the pavers where we want them by stuffing polymeric sand into the chambers of the pavers. This secures the pavers in place.

When the sand has had sufficient time to harden, we wash the pavers with clean water using a hose and a broom to remove any dust and sand that may have been left behind after the sand has had sufficient time to harden. This is accomplished through a number of iterations.

We get rid of all of the machinery and tools that are still lying around, and we also make arrangements for the removal of any remaining construction materials. The necessary work has been completed, and at this point, all that is left to do is collect the final payment and carry out the final walk-through inspection.
